Tired Of Not Loving Your Website?

Are You Tired Of Worrying About Your Website & Whether It’s Doing It’s Job?

If your website doesn’t send you as many leads and sales as you need to really grow your business, you have probably sat there some night looking at your analytics account and had at least one or two of these common website problems run through your mind a million times…

My website isn’t sending me enough people who are ready-to-buy – It may be hard to find your website in the search engines, or your site isn’t attracting enough of you target market

My website just isn’t convincing my visitors to pick up the phone – Your website content may not be written properly to speak directly to your ideal customer – or is not written to entice people to take action

My website looks old – and looks really bad on my phone – With the growth of mobile traffic this is critical because it causes a lack of credibility with visitors causing them to leave your site quickly (bounce out)

People aren’t really able to figure what to do on my website – If your website is hard to navigate – if your contact information or calls-to-action aren’t easily visible where visitors are expecting them you are likely wasting what traffic you are getting

Other than call now or fill out a form there isn’t a way visitors to engage with my website – Your website really needs something for the 80-90% of visitors who are not ready to take action right away to enter your sales funnel for future conversions

Small Business Website FAQs

If You Have Questions About My Small Business Website Packages & How They Can Help Your Business I Have The Answers You Seek

What is the best small business website builder?

There are no shortage of website builders geared towards small businesses today. The most commonly used are WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace – plus, if you are looking for an ecommerce solution there is also Shopify. My clear winner for the best small business website builder is WordPress – hands down. Here is the key reason – with all of the other major website builders, you do not own the platform that your website is built upon, and if something happens to that company or they make changes that you do not agree with, your website is essentially held hostage to their platform and you will have to pay to have it rebuilt in order to move it away. WordPress, on the other hand is completely open source and if you want to move your website from one host to another you can simply pack it up, move it to the host and be back up and running in absolutely no time. This is similar to the reason that Facebook or Instagram are not sound replacements for having your own website – you need to own your own business assets to protect yourself and your business.

How effective is a website for small businesses?

A professionally designed, properly structured, and search engine optimized website is one of the most effective marketing platforms that a small business can invest in today (2020). In a time where a lot of online attention is paid to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms is the one and only online marketing platform that a small business truly owns and controls – all of those other platforms can be changed and made ineffective or simply disappear completely without any warning should something happen to the companies that run them. If something happened and Facebook disappeared over night and all of your assets and content from the last 10 years were only on Facebook you would lose everything – but, no matter what happens, your website is your website and you will always own and control the content and marketing reach that you have built on your website over the years

How much does it cost to set up a website for a small business?

A solid website for a small business from an experienced, professional website designer will typically cost between $1,000 and $10,000 to build. By solid, I mean a website that is professionally looking, designed for mobile devices, is well-structured to increase customer generation, and search engine optimized – all of this takes time and skill to complete. You can easily find websites for far cheaper than this estimate, though you will get what you pay for. My average customer pays roughly $2,500 – $3,500 for their website, and are easily paid back through increased customer generation after launch.

How much does a 5 page website cost?

My 5 page website package for small businesses starts at $1,200. A 5 page website is a good starter package for a small service business with a local market – typically including a homepage, an about page, a services page, a testimonials page, and contact page. Plus, because all of my websites are built on WordPress, your 5 page website package includes a blog section setup and ready to use (and includes 2 traffic-generating articles already written and posted for you).

What should a small business website include?

Your small business website should include everything that is needed for a visitor to be able to understand who you are, how you can help them solve their problem, and how to get in contact with you to purchase your products or services. Some of the small business website must haves include:

  • a modern mobile-friendly design
  • engaging written content and images (plus video if at all possible)
  • a contact form for email leads
  • a “click-to-call” button for the mobile version of the website
  • clear and easy-to-follow navigation
  • two (2) sites (a plain one to help visitors navigate your site and an xml version to help Google crawl it easier)
  • an email “optin” system for email marketing to those visitors who aren’t ready to buy right away
  • and the personality that matches your business atmosphere and matches with your ideal target customers.

Do I need a Privacy Policy on my small business website?

While it may not be legally required for every single website (especially across much of the United States) to have a “Privacy Policy,” it is absolutely recommended that your website have at least a basic Privacy Policy. Website visitors feel far more comfortable knowing that their data is being protected, and it covers you legally should anything bad happen to one, or more, visitors to your website. Every website that I build includes a page with my standard Privacy Policy customized to your business information – and that page does not go against the page count of your small business website package.

Do I need a hosting service for my small business website?

Yes, you will need a hosting service for your new website. You can arrange this hosting yourself (either your existing host, or a new one of your choice). Also, each of my monthly website care plans includes hosting your website on my own servers that I personally manage in order to maximize performance and uptime. If you are interested in hosting your new website with me once it is complete, please let me know at the beginning of the website design / development process.

Which ecommerce platform is best for a small business website?

There are many popular ecommerce platforms available for small business retail websites. The most popular choices are:

  • Shopify (SAAS platform)
  • Woocommerce (self-hosted on WordPress)
  • Magento (self-hosted standalone)

This list is not exhaustive, but it represents the most commonly used ecommerce platforms for small businesses looking to sell their products online. The best option, in my opinion, is Woocommerce for a few reasons – most specifically the fact that is self-hosted and therefore you are the owner of the all the assets you build on it, and it’s simplicity of use through the WordPress CMS framework that so many are familiar with today due its incredibly broad use across the internet.
